Principal's Update: Term 1, Week 10
![](https://ccas.schoolzineplus.com/_file/media/2273/kent_tony.jpg)
I hope you were able to enjoy some reprieve from the busyness of life over the Easter break and had a safe and enjoyable 4 day weekend.
It is a timely break in school land before the last couple of weeks of Term 1, and to be able to stop, spend time with family and relax is always something to enjoy. As Christians, it is also a time of celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus – central to the core message of salvation – a free gift available to us all, and something at the heart of why CCAS exists. It is my prayer that you and your family have experienced a blessing from this significant holiday in our annual calendar.
It was great to be able to showcase all that CCAS has to offer to families at our annual Open Day last Wednesday. If you were able to attend, I hope you enjoyed this opportunity. We had over 400 first-time visitors to our campus – many as a result of your personal recommendations, for which we are always grateful.
Hoping that you enjoy this week's newsletter. Nine more days of school before the Term break.
Best wishes
Mr Tony Kent

Noah and Hannah Heygi recently received a prestigious award from the Hungarian Research Institute for National Strategy in the diaspora category. Their art was displayed at the National Museum of Hungary during the award ceremony, and they will be featured in a yearbook alongside other winners. We are incredibly proud of their achievements.
Additionally, Noah's creativity was highlighted during the ceremony for his drawing and title choice, "AstroNoah on the Moon," earning him a special mention. Both Hannah and Noah were commended by the jury for their dedication to Hungarian traditions despite living away from their homeland.

Open Day 2024: Celebrating Success
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Open Day, held last Wednesday, 27 March. More than 130 new families visited our campus, exploring our facilities and learning more about our school, leaving us with fantastic feedback. The event reflected the dedication and passion of our staff and students.
All staff were involved in preparing our school for visitors and showcasing the very best of what we have to offer. Thank you: your hard work and commitment to making this event a success did not go unnoticed!
Our amazing prefects and School Captains, including our Primary Captains, did a great job with school tours and ensuring our guests felt welcomed and informed throughout the day. Thank you for being such wonderful ambassadors for our school. It's a great highlight for our prospective families.
The Creative Arts showcase, featuring singing and musical performances, was a highlight of the evening, demonstrating the talents within our school community. Thank you to all the students involved in this showcase.
Together, we have demonstrated the strength of our school community and the exceptional learning environment we have. Again, thank you for your outstanding contributions to our success on Open Day. We are truly fortunate to have such a remarkable team of staff, students, and families.
